Treating Warts on Your Feet

Swift Treatment for Warts

Warts located on your feet, also known as Plantar Warts, can be caused by cuts, breaks, or vulnerable areas where the HPV virus can enter your body. While certainly not life-threatening, and in some cases, they go away on their own, other cases require the proper removal from a doctor. At Great Neck Family Foot Care, swift treatment for warts is something we specialize in.

Symptoms

Symptoms for plantar warts include:

  • Small fleshy growths or lesions on the bottom of the foot.
  • Thick skin develops over the infected area.
  • Small clotted blood vessels are known as wart seeds forming on the infected area.
  • Pain or discomfort while walking or standing.

When to seek medical attention

While many cases of warts do not require a medical visit, it’s important to note the symptoms that do require swift treatment for warts:

  • The infected area starts to bleed and/or become extremely painful.
  • Your home remedies to combat it are not working.
  • You have pre-existing conditions such as diabetes, are overweight or have a weak immune system.

What we can offer: Swift Treatment for Warts

Here at Great Neck Family Foot Care, we offer the best swift treatment for warts.

What is swift technology?

Swift Technology is a type of radiation treatment proven to successfully and safely remove warts. It uses the same energy as a microwave to target the infected area. These types of treatments typically take around 2 to 3 visits with a 4 week gap in between on average. While some may be hesitant to go through with this type of treatment, we assure you the pain is no greater than that of the wart itself. The very minor pain will only last a few seconds. Some patients reported a small side effect of soreness but not strong enough to interfere with normal activities. While this treatment is proven to be very safe and effective, you should consult your doctor before going through it.
